My darling Lucky, thank you for chosing me to be your Mother, I will never forget that day on 31st December 1996, yes Hogamany, when you decided that you were coming to live with me. You were all black, crossed my path on hogmany hence I had to name you lucky. You were lucky as you were knocked down lost your tail and had to have your leg pinned together. The joy you brought to me and all the neighbourhood was worth every pound that it cost to have the next 5 years with you. You were knocked down in broad daylight about 2 in the afternoon, I know the driver couldnt have been looking because you never ran anywhere you walked about as if you owned the whole town. I miss you every day big boy. I am sorry I was never able to bury you, as your body was never returned to me even though you had your collar and name attatched, the cleansing department didnt notify me. Rest in peace baby. I miss you. xxxx
